Where is the wireless switch on the dell vostro 200

Unlike notebook computers, most desktops don't come with wireless networking built in. I can't find any mention on Dell's site that the Vostro 200 has wireless capability, so this computer doesn't have a wireless switch. To use your desktop computer on a wireless network, you'll need to install a wireless adapter. USB adapters are very easy to use since you just have to plug them in. They're not expensive and you can easily find them at retail stores and online.

I have a DELL with XP-Home Edition - version 2002 service pack 3, Intel(R) - Pentium(R) 4cpu 2.66ghz, 2.66ghz, 512 MB of RAM My daughter plays games and has 24 of them in the computer - she tells me I...

Hello, Jim.

Dell's official position is that the maximum memory for this PC is 1 GB. But, it may be able to support 2 GB, per Intel's specs.

But, to answer your question - yes - you can increase your memory amount to 1 GB. Since the system has 2 memory slots, you could conceivably have (2) 512KB modules (total 1 GB). If your system already has 1 module of 512 KB, you could add another. Just be certain it's the same type and speed.

Or, you could have a 1 GB module.

I don't think that your computer's life is in jeopardy, but additional memory always helps the speed of your computer.

Hope this helps.

Specific specs for my Dell Dimension 2400 PC

Look at the SERVICE TAG on the back of the DELL computer.
Enter that unique(!) code on the manufacturer's web-site:

http://support.dell.com

and you'll get _exact_ information about the "as-shipped" inventory of parts in your DELL computer.

I might be buying a used computer for dirt cheap...

Hi Thanks for your question
This question is very difficult because you don't know if this is a high end spec machine or just a Supermarket product. General specification for two year old machine of a medium standard is something like that.
2.5Ghz Dual core processor 2-3 GB RAM 350 GB Hard Drive
Hope this helps to make your mind, but like I say this is a VERY general question. Good Luck
