Open the "Task Manager" by (right ) click in the Statusbar, located in the same (level as the start button). Next see how many Processes are running? If the (number) of processes running are between 75-80, the Computer is running very slow, this could be a ("Low") Memory problem, you can check the "memory usage" in the "Task Manager" as well. Try to "Shut-down Non-essential programs from "start-up."

Packard Bell only seem to have a european site from what I can tell. If your wife can understand the language, check out the belgium site for W3903 by clicking here and see if you go through the troubleshooter, whether they would be prepared to repair it from a non-european shipping address. If they would not, it's not likely you'll find anyone who deals with it, as Packard Bell seems to be an exclusively european brand.
