While taking a print or photocopy shadow is coming on the center of the paper

My printer printing shadow behind all the letters
f you are running the printer's Full Feature Software, go into the Solution Center in the Toolbox and look for a way to clean the cartridges and / or print heads. Do it twice. It uses a bit of ink, but it will get any extra residue drifting around on the nozzles.Your printer's Webpage:
HP Photosmart C4795 All-in-One Printer
Look on the Menu (on the Printer) for the Alignment test. This may also be listed in the same area in the software section where you find the "clean cartridges" option.
General Instructions (may vary):
Align the print cartridges

The printer automatically aligns the print cartridges after a new print
cartridge is installed.

You can also align the print cartridges at other times to ensure optimal
print quality.

To align print cartridges:

1. Load Letter or A4 plain, white paper in the In tray.
2. Open the printer Toolbox.
3. Click Align the Print Cartridges.
4. Click Align, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Prints with a shadow behind every letter. Cleaned heads and that page prints fine. Anything through windows doesn't print properly. Reinstalled drivers - running on windows xp.

You have a fault printer cartridge. I had the same problem and bought a new one and now the shadow dissapeared. Take it back to the place you bought it and ask for another one.

Printing lines not straight and letters shadowed. Help!

Open the cover over the print head and *carefully* inspect the clear thin plastic strip that runs from left to right near the print head. If you see any lubricant (white grease) on this encoder strip, it needs to be cleaned off.
1. With the cover open and the print head in the center, unplug the power cord. This will allow you to gently move the print head left or right.
2. With a cotton swab wetted with rubbing alcohol, *gently* wipe the grease spots from the encoder strip. (Be VERY CAREFUL you don't dislodge the strip.) You may need to move the print head to the left or right to get all areas cleaned.
3. Let the alcohol dry off completely. With the area clear of cleaning tools, debris, and fingers, plug the power back in.
4. Try a test print.

Jagged edges and misregistration

What printer is it ? Some older ones need manual calibration, where patterns are printed, then you tell the system which is the best one. Newer ones can self calibrate, but still need it done. Go into your printers menu and see if you can find something on calibration or allignment.

When color printing, looks blurred, but not.

You need to align the cartriges. If you have the HP software installed on your machine, you can just open that and click on the align button. If not here is the link to download the software:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?&lang=en&cc=us&pnameOID=446154&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=446153&lang=en&cc=us

Just select your operating system and then download the North America/Western Europe full software solution under software. This should allow you to align your cartiges. Just follow the instructions when aligning. Hope this helps you out!
