I have a paper jam in my HP photosssmart C4180 printer - and I don't know how to clear it - it was an A5 size and the machine immediately started chewing it up. How do I open the printer up so that I can clear it? Cheers, Nani

There will be screw or latches below or in side. It will be better if you ask some professional person to help you

Clear paper jam pcr t2000

It\'s very unusual for the paper to jam as this machine uses a clam shell type of printer. Just raise the printer arm and remove the paper roll. Clear any paper from the print head and roller etc. Tear any wrinkled paper from the roll and then refit the roll with the shiny side of the paper towards you. Lay the paper in the printer and close the printer arm down onto the paper. If you are setting the journal side, wind some paper onto the takeup spool after it exits the printer and sit the spool into place.

Paper jam on my Lexmark Z42

So I assume the computer is coming up with this error, Do you know whether there is paper in the printer or not that is causing this error or does the printer just think there is?

The outside panels should open up and you should see some rollers which may have paper stuck in them. Check for stuck paper or any other object and simply pull it out. Pulling paper out the way it went in won't wreck the printer.

If there isn't any object, you can try resetting the printer by unplugging it and the plugging it back in.

Let me know it neither of the above suggestions work or if you just need some more help or can provide more information on this.

thanks

Paper jam with my photosmart c4280 printer- help!!

Try this link...It may help.

As for the cartridge jam try resetting the printer. Open it up, make sure there is not jam. Move the carriage over if necessary, hit OK. Then turn the printer off. Go to your computer and remove any documents from the print queue. Then, with the computer still plugged into the printer, turn the printer on.

Paper jam, so small, can't even see paper

first off, unless you know that the paper is there, it's a possibility your machine is just saying or acting as if there is a jam when actually there is something giving a false reading or a failed part rendering it unable to print. Otherwise, if you happen to know where there paper is jammed at, attempt forcing a heavier stock paper through. say the jam is between two rollers attempt pushing a cardstock or index card thickness of stock through the rollers to attempt pushing the paper backward which might either remove the jam and make it removeable elsewhere, or make it so the machine can try to feed the paper through again this time allowing you to reach it.

Please give me the name of a printer that WORKS with writing checks in Quicken using Windows Vista 64. My HP all in one does not - printer jams every time.

HP will work. The jam is a paper problem not a hardware or software issue. Try line feeds without printing. HP also makes the best printer paper so don't skimp on that. Moisture in the paper is the most common paper jam problem aside from debris getting into the rollers. If line feed fails then physically inspect the whole paper path. I have Canon, Epson, Dell, HP and Lexmark printers with Quickbooks Pro. They all work. Paper is your problem barring a banana falling into the rollers. Never leave paper in a printer for a long time as it will stick to itself. Steve

Whenever i try to copy it says that paper is jam

I assume this is a printer or copy machine and not a PC.

However, sometimes its not easy to locate the paper jam. But, you need to find and clear the jam. Take out the paper tray(s) and look carefully. You may have to remove the toner cartridge or even the drum.

If there is no jam, one of the sensors may be clogged or defective.

Hope this helps :)
