Question about T-Mobile Sidekick II
My friend just gave me her sidekick 2 so i can use it.
i put my tmobile sim card in but it says i need GPRS or something like that. do i have to get that? because i only want the phone for calls and texts i don't need need internet. is there a way to get around it?
Thanks to the person who suggested to Press and hold Menu and L to bypass the GPRS message this will allow you to use the sidekick as a regular phone and allow you to text. HOW MY PHONE WORKS HAHAHA

I have the sidekick slide and when i put my sim card in i had to call t mobile and although i did have some features, to unlock the full features to the phone i had to pay 19.99 a month to get, t mobile had to set it up, they will tell u it will take 2-48 hours but once you hang up with them, turn your phone off for 5 min and when you turn it back on everything should be on

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
