Thank you dileep for your solution, its works! I am already on some USB Lan device. Asus is big brand and it can't just despair us in this way. After all I have spent whopping 12800Rs. only for this motherboard, that too it didn't come with onboard video. Gradually more and more device will be obsolete. Asus must support it.
Any way thank you for the help!

Go to the bios settings & there you can disable the onboard LAN ....

hi shreyash, do you having on board audio card mean go to bios and check weather you have disable , if it was disable mean enable it.

If you using internal or external sound card mean, go to bios Disable your onboard audio card , so only your internal or external sound card will work.

And i will give original Asus mn2 motherboard driver , install it and check it once. copy and paste the link i have given below

http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=0pKBwEIE8tqMT4j7

or click here

After page get loaded scroll down, click download in tab and select your OS and download your Drivers.

Good luck

You can download the drivers from ASUS WEB site. Select your model motherboard/computer/laptop, and make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system. Click on this link: -

disable the motherboards built-in ethernet adapter in BIOS and get an add-on ethernet card. it sounds like your ethernet card is damaged and its affecting the rest of the computer.

The problem is probably not software, but hardware. The BIOS probably has disabled the USB controller, or the USB controller has probably gone out, the way to tell is when you restart the computer, when the screen first comes up, press the DEL key to access the CMOS setup utility. Check around for something that says "Onboard USB Controller" or "Onboard USB Support" and if it is disabled, enable it. otherwise the Motherboard has lost the controller and you either replace the board, or get a USB controller PCI addon card. Hope that helps.

Asus P5k ethernet slot on motherboard just stopp ed working

Try tis...
1) Re-installing windows will not fix the problem. Try re-installing the
Ethernet driver (LAN). This driver should be on ASUS install cd.

2) Sometimes ethernet will just stop working. Then you should just
purchase a new ethernet card. They are rather cheap. Check out
Newegg website. You may have to disable onboard Lan in Bios.

The onboard ethernet card just stopped working. There is no fix I can find. I reinstalled windows and the drivers. once you instal the driver it only will start in safe mode.

Reboot your PC and hit F10 or F2 or any key it shows on your screen and go into BIOS setup and there should have one entry you can disable the onboard ethernet card.

There should be a menu item in your BIOS to Enable/Disable On-board video.

Not sure what key on your computer selects the BIOS Setup Utility. Watch when it begins booting. It will show it for a few seconds. Maybe F2?

did you do the drivers? does the sound blaster have the drivers?if the onboard failed the add on should work, if it's not broken. make sure you have the right driver. you can download them on creative labs website, or asus website for that board, but disable the onboard if you use the add in sound blaster. this should work, if you had sound before, also make sure no conflicts with sound devices. hope thi helps happy new year..
