Question about Yamaha Emx88s Powered PA Mixer System
......when you turn it on and talk into the microphone ,it cuts out......comes back ...then cuts out again...like theres some sort of govener ....but it's not turned up loud enough or on long enough to get hot.....any solutions?......or where to take it to fix it?
Your pushing it too much i have this p.a. and i had to get a power amp to assist other than that your mics will snap at if you sing to close to them. i run my bass thru my guitar thru 6 mics no matter what the documentation says about ohms if your not running a DJ system thru this thing only. and you want performance for live gigs with monitors and all like i do you need a POWER AMP to pick up your monitors or your mains i suggest 1200watts and up

Make sure your speakers are not the "shielded" type ( aka guitar microphone cable ). Alot of people think there is no difference between a guitar cable and a speaker cable. The speaker cables should be at least 14 gauge with good soldered connections and NOT SHIELDED!

I have a yamaha emx66me and i have had the same problem several times. it always turns out to be a bad cable between the amp and the speaker. hope this helps you.
