Hello. Products America may be able to assit you with your parts. You will need to be with your crib and prepared to take measurements when you call in order for them to determine if the parts you need match what they carry. The numbers are 800-205-9642 or 800-772-1041. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 8am to 6pm CST. Have a great day!
Products America can not provide parts for the Sorelle cribs however they should be able to provide you with contact information for the company. You can call 800-205-9642 or 800-772-1041 and speak with a customer service rep who would be more than happy to assist you in contacting the company.
Childesign is in fact out of business and did not leave any way for their customer's to buy lost or broken parts. Unfortunately, you will find it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find the part you are looking for.
There should be a couple of little plastic clips (curvy) on the bottom of the rail, last stop before the floor. If one or both are either missing or broken it will simply fall out. Call Simmons directly (www.simmonskids.com for the phone number) and they can sell you the pieces. Mine came in about 3 days and they're very easy to replace.
I just purchased this crib from craiglist for my daughter and future grandson. We broke the plastic track assembly on the lower left front. I just now called the customer service number and they are sending me the complete assembly and when I told her it had one stripped out bolt, she is including a complete hardware package. Didn't cost me one penny! Now that is true customer service!!!!! This is for the 3 in 1 sleigh crib, Model No. DASE5009. The customer service number is 800-295-1980. Their hours are 8am - 5pm est M-F. Hope this helps!
On the bottom of the front rail that drops (the drop rail), there are two plastic tension pieces (one at either end) that engage the two fixed, bottom rail slider hardware (the long, narrow pieces screwed top-and-bottom into the lower, inside portion of the tall, upright crib ends). These tension pieces are spring loaded, and the outer edge of each one rides along the outside (i.e., the parent's side) of the two bottom metal rail guides. Their purpose is to supply outward pressure against the lower part of the drop rail - that's what you push against when you press your lower leg upon the bottom of the drop side of the crib to lower it. They insure that when up, the drop side locks safely into place. I suspect these tension pieces are your problem. It sounds like they are improperly installed. Good luck.
You should be able to take those pieces out of the bottom ends of the crib rail bother than that I'm not sure I have been looking for the plastic pieces for the top of the rail that you squeeze together to lower the side and I called the company and they said they don't carry any parts for this crib anymore. I wish we could all get these cribs together and switch pieces that we need to make at least some of these cribs work its pretty bad. Oh well I hope this helps you.
You know I just purchased a Childesigns crib from a garage sale thatI thought had everything needed. When I got home, we found it was missing one top plastic rod. Of course nothing will work without that. I found this webpage that sells a VERY similar product.
http://www.productsamerica.com/page65.html. It is not exact, but to be able to use the crib, this was a good option for us. Hope this helps.
I have the same problem and I spoke to www.productsamerica.com at 1-800-772-1041 this morning and they said that the childesign is no longer in production as far as they know and no parts available. They also said no repair kits available will fit it. I am stomped as to whether I should just go out and buy another crib now.
