Question about Acer Aspire 4720 Notebook

1 Answer

No sound on headphone jack

Hello to all experts, I have an Acer Aspire 4720 laptop with pre installed Vista OS, but some of my application software don't run with this system so I decided to replace it with Windows XP and acquired the drivers from the net and so far most of the hardware I have been tested was working well except for the headphone jack. I tried to hook it with my compact stereo sound system but still the unit speaker is activating with nothing coming out from the headphone port. Need some ideaas what could be the cause of this one, if there's really a problem with the driver that I had installed... I'm just new here so I apologize if you found my messages a bit awful and incomplete.. thanks..my email is earlvonfloyd@yahoo.com.
