Question about HP Photosmart C7280 Printer
I can't scan from my printer to my laptop. Everything else works. I just can't scan. Can you help? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
After having this printer for a year, I have had to uninstall reinstall too many times to remember for all sorts of reasons. Last month this worked fine so far: Delete all relevent HP soft ware by install/uninstall utility, disc that comes with printer or removal tool from HP website, this will want to do a reboot. before it does disconnect usb from printer to computer. Reboot. when restart has settled down plug in printer. Let windows do all the installing without the disc in the computer. When it asks for install disc insert & it will find the drivers etc it needs from the disc. Do not use the installation program on the disc. For me, this has made scanning much easier, wireless connection is now reliable & printing faster. some of the utilities from HP will not be installed like ink levels from the computer etc, but they can be accessed from the controls of the printer. I think their software was getting in the way & making things slow. Worked for me, hope for you too/

Just try by reinstalling the drivers, try with another usb cable and usb port

there are two ways in scanning. You can use the HP Solution Center installed in your computer or you can use the scan menu button from your printer. And as you mentioned that you tried scanning from the printer itself and it didnt work, right?
OKay, normally, when you try scanning from the printer, you will encounter a message that would say "NO SCAN OPTIONS". That means to say that the options is not listed on your printer. here are the things that i would want you to do and to make it easier for you, just click the "DOCUMENT" below
If your Operating SYstem is XP click here==> DOCUMENT
If your Operating SYstem is Vista click here==> DOCUMENT
