I just bought a Vivitar T027. The camera is not powering up even though I have checked to make sure the batteries are good and are in place correctly. Any other suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Here is the manual in PDF. Just type in "flash" in the search box of the pdf file, and push next until you find exactly what kind of flash you need. Also the regular flash is that zigzagged down arrow on back of your camera on the top circle of icons.

Some cameras can only use SD cards....not SDHC. Check your manual.

The T027 uses standard AAA batteries, available just about anywhere. You can use disposable or rechargeable batteries, but if you go with the rechargeables then you have to charge them outside the camera.

for some reason they take either AA OR AAA batteries. remove the batteries and it will say on the side what type. AAA batteries or small. AA are the larger "penlight" batteries. i would suggest/recommend that you purchase a set of rechargable batteries for the camera. 600ma minimum but higher ma would be best. most dept stores such as walmart etc will have charger + battery combination packs you can buy. as a side note buying dollar store batterys etc will be a waste of money as i've tried it. you might get one or two pictures from a set of batteries. your other choice is a good set of alkaline batteries. but rechargable batteries are your best option.

You can use any SD or SDHC card. The brand doesn't really matter, as long as you stick with the major brands. The speed doesn't matter either, though a faster card might download faster if you use a card reader.

You should be able to find SD and SDHC cards at any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Many drugstores and supermarkets also carry them.
