Page 22 in the user manual will explain how to rectify this. You need to set up both the recorder and remote to be DVD3. I posted the link to the manual on the premium question..

Hi! Hope this will give hint... I understand some televisions nowadays are fully controlled using remote but there is always a standby power button for the television remote function. If the there is no power after turning on using the standby power button please check power cables, supplies and fuses. If the television has a standby power waiting the remote to act on but no response after pushing the remote's power button check the battery and its contact. Goodluck.

Wont go on standby

Possible that the processor section needs to be checked. When the remote is clicked to standby and if there is no response even if the remote is working perfectly with other modes then the power - off button and IR trigger from the remote must be checked to work. Use a mobile camera to see if the remote is emitting IR with the power off button pressed. If so the processor section and the standby out must be traced.

I have a dvd from England and my old Sony DVP-C670D keeps giving me a prohibited message4 every time i try to play it. How do i unblock the region code.

Hi there,

Although no guarantee, this 'region hack' is rumoured to work:

1. Place the DVD player into 'standby' mode.

2. Using the Sony remote, press the following button sequence: Title; Clear; Power (green button); 0 (zero button)

3. Using the remote, Open the disc tray, then close again.

Now insert your disc and attempt to play - allow up to 2mins to load/play. If no response, open/close tray and try playing disc again.

Cheers,

Trying to set up a Zeikos ZE-WRL3 with a Nikon D^) and it won't work could soeone guide me through it?

I assume you mean a Nikon D60? I'm also assuming the ZE-WRL3 is FULLY compatible with the ML-L3.

Set the release mode to one of the remote modes. Quick-response takes a pic as soon as you press the button. Delayed-response waits two seconds, allowing you to hide the remote behind your back. Either way, the usual caveats about focus and metering apply.

There should be a section in manual titled "Release Mode" or "Shooting Mode" that gives full details.

OK..I see the problem now.. Basically, you have to set both the remote and the recorder to the same command mode. (Default id DVD3). Please see the user manual I have posted in your premium query. It will tell you how to do this on page 22.
