Make sure you check the fuses. on the door panel and under the hood. usually with any car their is 2 radio fuses. one under the hood and one by the driver side door. a blown fuse could be an easy/fast fix.

My guess is one key is stuck inside. Try press and release all keys one by one and check if any feels different. If that does not work, you can try take the radio out, make sure you have your radio code, and unplug all cables, then press power for 3 seconds (yes press the power button with everything disconnected), plug in cables again power radio On. If the issue persists you will have to go and see a technician.

No power to Kenwood KDC-4019 faceplate

It sounds like the stereo does not have the "ACC" voltage. It could have blown a fuse. The "ACC" voltage goes to the red wire on the harness and you get that voltage turned on only when the ignition is turned on in the car.

The symptom of the disc ejecting and nothing else works is an indication that only the constant voltage for the yellow wire is connected. Check the voltage on the red wire with the car turned on, if you have that 12 volts at the red wire, then you need the radio serviced.

It is not very likely that the faceplate has gone bad. Just because the radio will not turn on is not an indication that the faceplate is bad. It could be a voltage regulator in the radio or a circuit trace is blown, or almost anything else. There are many reasons that the radio would have the problems you describe and it can only be found out for certain by troubleshooting the radio on a test bench with the proper tools. If you have a multimeter and a power supply I can guide you thru troubleshooting the radio and even email you the service manual in PDF format if you would like to take a crack at it yourself.

Let me know how you want to proceed.

Kenwood KDC-519 Faceplate Problem

Detach the faceplate and look at the electrical contacts on the back of it for damage/dirt - you can spray it with electrical contact cleaner. Do the same to the contacts on the head unit - it sounds to me like one or more of them are a bit loose or otherwise not working properly.

Tuner does not work Sony CDX-L420V CD suddenly.

Try cleaning the connections on the faceplate and were the faceplate meets the unit, Make sure you disconnect the power first (pull the fuses) look carfully at the pins on the radio itself were the faceplate and the radio meet see if any are bent or out of place. I think what the other person was talking about fuses is there is two fuses on the radio and there will also be two fuses in the car. So there should be four fuses to check depending on your car. Good Look.

Face does not come down and remote won't work

EXTREMELY common problem for these units. The faceplate ribbon cable has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
