Re: question about your fix
Actually the LCD drive board is part of the light engine. The light engine is made up of the lamp, ballast, light chamber, fans, lcd drive board, and 3 lcd panels with all optics and lenses included. Most of that is good so you save expense by having only the bad part repleced. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any more assistance, Russmann.

Hi, just send your board for repair to this guys on ebay. on ebay search engine type in this # 330700000004 ok,they are professional and will fix your board for cheap. don't buy those repair kits you will mess up your board.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this is a very common problem on the older sony wega tv's that were rear projection LCD sets. You will see dark bluish corners of the screen. It will get worse and there is no cheap way to fix it. All of these sets have this disease. In some rare cases Sony will repair out of warranty. You probably noticed this soon after you replaced the lamp on your TV. Some of the replacement lamps burn hotter than intended and start melting the glue that holds the light tunnel and LCD panels together to the light engine. In order to fix, you would have to replace the entire light engine assembly.
3 times standby red light blinking shows that lamp cover has not been placed back properly after lamp replacement. Make sure lamp cover, (the first thing that you removed to replace lamp in tv) is fixed securely then turn tv On.
You did not say what kind of TV you have. LCD or projector. If you have a projector (CRT or light engine) you can get a screen at www.partstore.com . If you have an LCD it would probably cost more to replace than a new unit. Let me know how you make out.
One of two things. the digital board, or the display is going bad. if the display is the problem it probably is not worth repair. The digital board my not cure the problem an is expensive. If the lines are different colors it my well be the display.
