RCA model DRC8335 Loosing the date and time

That will be a problem from the text side of the broadcast, the clock is set from the text transmission, ( in other words a problem from the transmitter ) possibly due to digital switchover or work on the transmitters. One possible solution would be to turn off auto clock setting, and/or auto summer time adjustment.

Deactivate auto clock and deactivate saving time. Adjust clock manually.

The clock on my VCR/DVD recorder will not keep the correct time. It goes back one hour repeadedly after setting.

You`ll probably find that the PDC (Program Delivery Control) is turned on. If you turn this off, the autmatic clock setting will be disabled and will have to be set manually. Ian

Clock is faster than should be

I have the same problem. Don't try using the auto clock update from antenna/cable either, that always sets it way off, if it even works at all I just keep setting it back manually. But now my unit has more major problems. It won't record anymore, its time to buy a better box.

For some reason, the clock loast time and is blinking 12:00am I tried going into set but it won't let me set the time. When I press clock in settings, the section to change the time is grayed out. When I do factory reset, nothing happens. How can I get back to the way the DVR was out of the box?
