I would refer to the manual and call the manufacture, Or you could take the back panel off and check if the speakers have a solid connection. You can also check the back to see if the tv has speaker hook ups and if it does it might have a switch by it that is for turning surround sound on you need it on stereo or mono.GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS GETS YOU ON THE RIGHT TRACK!!

Tv is on with no picture or sound, only 4 months old!!

Hello
The power supply regulator board to your set has the fault. If you try to open the set, or try to repair it by yourself, the warranty will void. The set must have warranty as it is new. Why do you spend for it? Just contact the nearest authorised service center for Sceptre. the components in this set will be very hard to get from open electronic spare part market, and will costly too.

I bought a phillips 32 flat screen 5month ago,and it has gone wrong,it works for 20 mins then the picture goes off the sound stays on

Tv is less than a year old call Phillips for warrenty repair. This tv have a 1 or 2 long boards, call the LCD inverter boards,it have problems, about to died. These 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards are to help the LCD screen to have a backlight to produced a picture. That why u have dead pictures, but still have sound.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

My Vizio LCD TV screen fades to dark. Sound stays on.

I w having this same issue when watching a Blu-Ray disc. I found it to be dependent upon what picture mode the TV was set to. By this I mean certain picture modes would cause the TV to dim during dark scenes of a movie. Changing the picture mode helped a lot.

Sharp aquos 32" LCD tv - screen black (no picture) but have sound

Typically if you have a backlight and no video image it's going to be the T-Con board. We do know it's most likely not the powersupply board because the back light comes on. Could also possibly be the main board, but typically the T-con boards are cheaper and I'd say you got a 70% chance that's the issue. Good luck.

46" SAMSUNG IS NOISY AND SOUNDS LIKE A AIRPLANE WHEN TURNED ON

Most high voltage electronic parts in a tube style television only have a life of 1-3 years. All of your internal parts are due to burn out or fail.

I would give up and sell/give away this tv and buy a new LCD or Plasma version. Repairing and old tube style tv is probably going to cost over 500 dollars. Just put that money to a nice new one instead. I know it sucks to say goodbuy to your old friend, but the era of the tube tv has ended.

The short answer is yep!! The longer answer will require that you post the model number. With that in hand I should be able to provide you with some detailed possibilities.
