If the TV is usually viewed on channel 3.
On the remote control (original RCA TV remote) manually enter the digits 0 and 3 -the tv should display 03 and work - if this dosn't work plug three wires from the back of the satellite box which say out to tv - video and audio left right. plug the othe end to video/audio input 1 on the TV (matching the colors then press the video (or source button ) on the remote. Be sure the satelite is on (green light is on)
Turn down your color and see if the screen has a normal black & white screen. If it doesn't then the CRT is bad (picture tube). If it is black & White then you have a either lost your red or blue. That problem will be in your video driver circuit of which a service center can handle.
green tint & screen dark means that there is a problem in green video circuit.
1 check green video supply .
2 components in green video ckt.
3 adjustment in green video section.
4 check for signal to green video.
It is normal for VIDEO 3 to be displayed in the upper left of the picture if there is no signal present at the INPUT 3 jacks. This is to let you know that although the picture is black and there is no sound, the TV is still on. If you have a good signal at INPUT 3 and the VIDEO 3 stays on the screen, take the Sony remote, point it at the TV and press the DISPLAY button until you see "DISPLAY OFF" on the screen. About 3 seconds later, the words should vanish.
