Hi, I'm having trouble with my graphics card (Nvidia e-Geforce 7900 GT/GTO 256 mb) after I just installed a new hard drive and I'm sure that the hard drive itself has nothing to do with the problem but I tried to install a new driver and I get an error message in device manager "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" The only reason I noticed this is because I tried to play Halo and it said DirectDraw failed which is puzzling because when I ran dxdiag.exe it said everything was working fine but the Direct3D capabilities and everything else to do with the display were simply not there or disabled and had an N/A instead of enable. So I thought there was something wrong with the driver and then I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still no good. So I tried another driver. Once again no good. I still have no idea what to do and I am at a loss. Also when I uninstalled it I used Driver Cleaner Pro and used it in safe mode. So all precautions were taken. It's not because of anti virus soft ware interference because all I use is Windows Defender and I kept that off during all of this. I have a Nvidia nForce4 chipset and the drivers for that are working. Below are the links to the drivers I have used.
Thanks, I really appreciate any assistance.
