Question about Kitchen Ranges

Cannot operate arrow buttons on clock or timer

The clock and timing arrow buttons are too hard to press so changing the time or even setting a self-clean cycle is impossible (even for a strong man!) Frigidare Gallery Range Model CFEF388CES - 1 Type:3S5

Removed buttons on mine (poor design) and can change the clock, but no other buttons work, even when you press them directly. My self-cleaning cycle is also not operating, although it worked properly before.

Remove all of your buttons, and use the narrow end of a chopstick (or something else narrow but not sharp) to push the post of the button in, and it will work. I'm considering finding small ball bearings to put inside the buttons so they would be easier to push.

Timer

After you set the time ,do you push the Clock button to lock your time??If you set the clock time and walk away its not holding the time ,because its waiting for you to confirm time selected. So after you set the time press the clock key pad 1 more time .Remember this, just because you bought a new clock doesnt mean its a good part.Bad parts get the best of us ,so dont think your new part is ok yet.It probably is not.
