My scoll bar is not showing on my main screen. How do I adjust to have it fit?

Kim Drader,

Below are steps to resolve your scroll bar issue.

  • Restart your computer Sometimes, a simple restart can bring back the scroll bar to its original form.

  • Right-click anywhere on your desktopicon1.png. Click on "Properties" if you are using Windows XP. Select "Personalize" if you use Windows Vista or Windows 7 and click on "Windows Color and Appearance." Then click on "Open classic appearance properties for more color options."

  • Click on the "Advanced" button.

  • Click on the "Item" drop-down menu. Select "Scroll bar."

  • Change the width by entering "17" under the "Size" category. 17 is the default scroll bar width for Windows operating system

  • Click on "OK" and select "Apply" to end task.

The page scrolls up and down - somtimes even jumps up and down - when the cursor is nowhere near the right hand of the screen where the vertical scroll bar is.

It is possible you might have picked up a virus, or a bad device driver. Try a system restore taking the computer back in time before this happened, may resolve the issue.

Have a Satellite P 305D-S9800; scoll bar will not pull down by mouse or touch pad; as soon as I let go it jumps back to the top please help

The "Touchpad is very sensitive; if you look while scrolling, the "scroll-bar" will turn (Blue), click on the ("scroll-bar"), until it turn "Gray." Note: "You ca use the Pointer Device / Touchpad without using the Scroll-bar, basically anywhere on the screen; ("bottom scroll-pad" = left to right"), and ("right -side edge scroll-pad = up & down").

    Can't get a Widget back!

    This should help you...

Open your widget bar by touching the "W". Once it's open, add all of your widgets to the home screen. Stack them from top of the screen down. that should allow you to scroll down to the one you can't get to otherwise. Now simply move that one up higher, then begin to put back the ones you don't want into your widget bar in order from bottom to top. Once you have them docked back where you want them, click the "X" to close the widget bar.

    Problem should be solved.

I am a novice at this-- i trying to download music at any site but their software will not work on my microsoft xp firewall was mentioned ??? help

in the system tray (the bar at the bottom of your screen to the right) you will see a red icon with an x in it. double click on that. when the window pops up scroll to the bottom. You will see windows firewall. click once on that. when that window opens look at the top where you will see 3 tabs. click on exceptions. is the program you are trying to use in that menu ?.

If so click on it so it has a check mark. click apply and close all the windows. that should allow downloads.

Keep in mind the firewall is there for a purpose so be sure the site or program you are allowing is not harmful.
