I want to know if my computer has microphone

The full specifications for the CQ70-120US are available here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01550112 . This notebook computer comes with a webcam with an integrated microphone. This microphone should be to the right of the webcam. The webcam is nearly centered on the top bezel of the monitor portion of the notebook.

I hope this helps.

My microphone stopped working and its built in

I had thesame problem on a brand-new Dell laptop. The solution is to intall IDT STAC9228 Audio Driver (file R204473.exe), which can be downloaded from Dell web site (http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R204473.EXE). This solved my problem with not having mic when using Skype.

Integrated webcam microphone error

I just fixed this exact problem. I went to the dell website and found the drivers for the inspiron 1318, Be sure to check "all related drivers for your product" and choose the correct operating system which was defaulted to "bios" when I did this. Then there should be an audio tab with two possible downloads. I downloaded the one labeled "IDT-Driver" and then my microphone started working.
