(Code 39) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. By the way, it's PIONEER DVD-RM DVR-K17 ATA DEVICE

GMA 4082n device driver not working properly code 39

First go into Setup (usually F1,F2 or del) at start-up. See if your drives show up there. With Windows running, right click My Computer, left click Properties, left click Hardware, left click Device Manager, left click DVD/CD-ROM drives. Also check IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Do the drives show up there? If they do right click on drive and left click Update Driver. If they are not there go back to System Properties and left click on Add Hardware Wizard. This will search for devices. It may ask you to insert Windows CD which of course you can not do because the drives don't work. Try a different drive. When you cleaned out your computer did you delete or uninstall Office? That may be what caused this problem. None of this may work but it is a starting point.

To solve this Code 39 error, follow these instructions:
NOTE: After removing these registry keys and rebooting, it may be necessary to reinstall any CD or DVD recording applications.

  • UpperFilters
  • LowerFilters
  • UpperFilters.bak
  • LowerFilters.bak
5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor

My system said it can't find my cdwrite,cd-rom;dvd rom/combo. ineed it to work. i am a study

Not being sure what operating system you have I will give directions for both Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Windows XP
Right click My Computer > click Properties > click the Hardware tab > click on Device Manager > look in the list of hardware devices for CD ROM or DVD ROM or some instance of that. Click the + symbol next to it. > click on the name of the device> There may be a little ! on a yellow background next to the name of the device as well. When you click on it, and the box opens it may say "This device is not working properly". Well we already knew that, of course! But there is a chance that it says "This device is disabled" If that is the case then you may be able to go to the driver tab and enable the device (or the enable option may also be under the General tab). If it is not disabled then go to the driver tab and chose to rollback the driver if you have recently made any updates. Or click Update the driver. If you have not opened the computer case before this happened, then it is probably not hardware related. It may be hardware related if you had opened the computer case recently as a cable might be loose.

Windows Vista
To access Device Manager in Windows Vista either go to My Computer on your desktop or go to Start > My Computer > Right click My Computer. Device Manager is in the left pane on the screen.

I hope this helps. These are usually the most common problems. If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

My computer doesn`t recognise disk in dvd drive

1. Make sure you use DVD's in good condition.
2. Reinstall the driver..( right click My Computer->properties->Hardware tab -> Device manager-> DVD rom-> right click Uninstall and again install using Dvd rom driver cd)
3. Clean The Drive lens using Dvd lens cleaner disc kit available in maket.
4. Removing DVD rom. opening it up manually and cleaning the lens with cotton( this tedious for novice users.. instead give it to servicing shop)
