Generic problem for all Printers
Printer not working (by 2 users)

At the end of initializing, the printer 'gets stuck' and makes a repetitive clicking sound. The screen reads 'scanner failure'.

Wizbuy a new printer. Since you give no specifics..make or model number..get a new one..HP or Canon.
