You will need a new valve assembly. ( part # 43513014, msrp $3.62 ) Place the rubber seal in first, then wet the valve and push it in with your thumb.

My Hoover steam vac dual v clean water and detergent tank leaks water before attached to the vac and during cleaning

This is a common problem with the earlier models which had a separate soap tank glued to the clean water tank. The plastic was too thin beneath the valve on the clean water side and would develop cracks. You most likely will need a new one piece tank. ( Part # 42272104)

Hoover steam vac dual v carpet cleaner has stopped dispensing soap. Water is still flowing fine

You probably have a solenoid valve which has failed and will not open. This will require replacement of the valve. For temporary use you can mix a soap solution and put it in the rinse tank. The correct mix is 5 ounces of Hoover shampoo to a gallon of hot water.

F7210-900 Steam Vac. will not put out water when switch is in wash position but it will put out water when the rinse position

There are two electrical solenoids inside the hood assembly. One opens to dispense rinse water, and the other dispenses the soap and water solution. It is likely that the soap and water solenoid has failed and will require replacement. A "work around" fix for this is to mix the soap solution in the clear water tank ( 5 oz. of shampoo per gallon of water ), and shampoo that way until the solenoid can be replaced.

I have a Hoover v2 steam vac F7430-900 the water container will not dispense water only soap yes, any idea to fix this problem?

This is most likely due to a problem with the solenoid on the rinse side not opening. The solenoid may require replacement.

Hoover steamvac won't spray water/cleaning solution

Clogging of the pump that sprays water/cleaning solution is very common in Hoover and Bissell Steam Vacs. Try running a cycle of 1part vinegar or CLR to 3 parts warm, distilled water through the vacuum pumps. The heads get clogged with soap and the water pumps get clogged at the opening of the flash heater due to minerals in hard water. If you want to extend the life of your steam vac, don't use the heater unless you are using distilled water. This can get expensive, so I recommend not using the heater.

I own a Hoover Steam Vac V2 deep cleaner with Auto Rinse feature. The Model Number is not available ex: was on the bottom of the machine and the sticker is completely worn off the machine. I am having a problem with the bottle you fill with detergent ex: this bottle is separate from the main clean water tank. THE PROBLEM: The little plastic part that goes in the bottom of the bottle has an "O" ring ex: cone shaped with a spring.....it keeps falling out. Can you supply a part number for this component? The bottle has a number ex:36778-002. Thanks...Linda (504) 888-2120.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hover SteamVac V2 with Auto Rinse feature. I would suggest because the model 3 and the serial 3 have been worn of the machine to contact your local vac dealer in your area and or the Hoover Factory Service or the Hoover Website for the Factory Model #, but the part that you are requesting is not very expensive and can be replaced. You cannot replace the spring loaded value on the soap dispenser – it is a whole assembly and would need to replace the entire tank, you can buy them new or sometimes a local vacuum dealer may have a good used one on hand and that would work as well – check the yellow pages for a local vacuum dealer or Hoover dealer for replacement of the part.

Either you need a new tank, or there is a problem with the platform that the tank sits on. The tank has to sit correctly or it won't work.
