Re: hi, i can not wach tv program, the pc screen is too...
The asus eee pc does not provide an option to reduce or increase the screen resolution or frequency rate under simple or full desktop mode. If the screen is too small then plug in an external monitor. If you use BBC iplayer to watch tv then they have bought out iplayer beta which has larger video than the old one.
One wonders why you bought it in the first place if the screen is too small.

issue happens to lots of laptops regardless of the brand. This could
easily solve by downloading and installing this small but great program -
Touchfreeze. I am personally using this and so is my wife.
You may download it on this link (press ctrl key & click on the link). Just install and the very sensitive touchpad should go away.
Most Laptops use S-Video as a way to display video on your TV screen. You can pick up a S-Video cable at your local Electronics store IE Radio Shack. Before purchasing the cable ensure your TV has the correct input.
All of these do the same thing: The laptop sends the video information through the Port and the Cord. Your TV Recieves that information in its port. Numbers 1 to 3 do not transfer sound, so you will need a separate adapter for your headphone to TV Audio. #4 HDMI transfers both sound and audio data, so you won't need a separate cable for sound. Check if your TV has corresponding ports. If not, you can buy adapters. This is an example of a VGA to RCA(Red/White/Yellow analog cables) and S-Video http://img.alibaba.com/photo/52306528/VG...Thanks for ratinggood luck
To activate the TV output, the Fn + F? would have to be pressed. This is to cycle through the choices such as LCD, TV + LCD or TV olny. F? would be the function key with the small monitor icon. Additionally, it is required that the Screen Resolution in the Settings tab of the Display Properties be lowered down to match the capacity of the TV. Most/regular TVs can only display 640 X 480 or 800 X 600. In some cases, it would also be necessary to lower down the Screen Refresh Rate sometimes as low as 60 Hz.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
Sometimes an easy solution to this is to turn off your laptop completely, remove the power lead from the socket and the laptop, then remove the battery, leave for a couple of minutes and then try again.
If this does not work, then you are into the realms of programming / restoring.
I hope this helps you, Chris
I beleive that you may need a splitter, I think it may be called a convergance splitter to work with the program. Check with the manufacturer support for the program. They should be able to tell you if a splitter is needed.
