Question about Hotpoint Ultima WF865 Front Load Washer
If you machine is connected to a sink trap for the waste water to drain through then iot is more than likely to be filling your machine up with dirty water from your sink? I.E. any food or dirty dish water. So you need to make sure that there is a loop in the hose underneath the sink. Higher than the sink trap so the water cannot run into the machine. Failing this then you need to see if your machine has a built in air trap on the waste side from the pump to the waste hose as this sometimes will block up with limescale or general muck from your machine. It just needs taking apart and cleaning!

Run a load with no clothes, hot water and a gallon or two of bleach and less then 1 drop, very small amount of dish detergent. the dish detergent is used as surfactant (makes the bleach stick to the interior walls)
run an extra rinse cycle to make sure you get all the bleach out before putting clothes in.
