This is not a solution to your problem; but i can assure you that chapters do burn on my Sony Multi-Function DVD Recorder VRD-MC5. And, on viewing via a DVD player, work well.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The chapter title on Avatar keeps popping up in a box starting about chapter 14.the longer the movie goes the more often it pops up and the longer it stays on screen.i have a bd-hp22x model.

try to play this disc on another set to check for any errors, this could also lead to tricking the micro to shift the menu. Also load the cd next time and click on required fileds only, also avoid the sub titles and check again..

I taped 8 hours of programming in LP mode and want to burn it onto disc. Can I use the divide title mode to split the title into 3 segments so I can fit on 3 discs?

Yes, go into hdd list of recorded shows and select show
edit, chapter mark, find about 1/3 of show, select mark,
yes, back 1 menu under chapter mark is split or cut,
just select and you now have 2 files, 1/3 of show and 1 2/3 of show, just repeat, for 3 parts. and burn to dvd.

Small glitches with home-burnt DVDs only

Gents,

Not a solution but in case it may help other's understanding with a similar problem, found glitch to be related to the default Chapter-making process within the Panasonic DVD recorder when dubbing a DVD. Default appears to be 5 mins 20 seconds per chapter, i.e. 320 seconds. Glitches from these DVDs are seen regularly on two of my four DVD players at every 32 seconds, i.e. one-tenth of the chapter length. Can't explain why this happens, or why indeed two of the players sail-through this recurring glitch without problem.

Pioneer DVD player (DV-505, DV-525, DV-606, etc.) Note: Some codes work on LD/DVD combo players only, such as "Disc side A/B".
Note: The LD/DVD 0525 code will work too, but the arrow keys (among other things) won't work without being keymoved to the correct codes.

Bart, many Phillips recorders seem to have a problem with creating auto chapters when it is set to auto chapter every 5 minutes. Set it to 10 minutes or more.
