Hi,
The no BS answer would be that's it's going to cost you marginally less than the TV did originally. I can't give you an exact price as it depends on which panel is in the TV and whether you intend to replace it yourself or have it professionally repaired. Philips 52" LCDs range from maybe US$800 to $2000, so it really depends on which model you have.
If you want to post back with those details I can get a more accurate price for you.
Cracked screens aren't covered by the warranty, but there are several options available to you:
1. Try to claim on your insurance if you have accidental damage cover included in your policy or pay extra for it.
2. Replace the TV and sell the other one off for parts. This will probably save you a few hundred dollars on the price of just buying the screen. It's fairly easy to sell them on eBay.
3. Buy a used panel or faulty TV from the same or similar model. Again, eBay is a good source for these and will save you a fair bit.
I'd suggest insurance is the best option here if you can take that route, I'm more than happy to look into the price of a brand new screen for you and also investigate the costs of options 2 and 3 but I will need to know the model number to do so.
Hope this helps.
