Getting the headlight assembly out

I need to replace the headlight assembly and can't get the old one out. what is behind the headlight assembly that I'm not seeing?
I have the same problem.

If your car is a 99 WJ the light assembly come out like this. Remove the long bolt located on top near the rear of the light assembly. This is the only thing you need to undo. Using a large flat blade screwdriver down the rear lever against the radiator cross member. The lamp is held in with a couple of ball-in-cup type of things that require a bit of effort to release. To refit, hold in place and give it a good firm shunt with the palm of your hand to refit the ball-in-cup do-dats. Refit long bolt.
