It may be your clicking ok too many times, the playstation three may need a new harddisk if so phione playstation and another thing is that you could have to much memory in your ps3.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

On screen - the hard disk file system is corrupted and will be restored playstation 3

If you are getting the corrupted drive message this means that you have corrupted data on the hard drive or there is something wrong with the hard drive. If you have tried the built in repair options and they do not work then you will need to format the hard drive with an externally with a computer. The link below will help you do this.

The hard disk's file system is corrupted and will be restored. I clicked ok to restore system, but system cycles and repeats itself

More than likely the hard drive has bad sectors, that's why it's looping.

Just swap the drive out with ANY 2.5 inch SATA laptop hard drive. They sell 250gb drives from Best Buy for around $50.

Just swap, turn the console back on, and follow the instructions displayed by the PS3 ;)

Hard disk is currupted on play station 3 any way 2 fix this problem

Hello. The PS3 should say that it's corrupted and ask you to press X to reformat it. If it keeps doing that then you need to take it out and use a USB external drive case and reformat it on your PC. Just plug it in and click on Start > Computer > right click on the drive and click format.

Or you can just replace it and upgrade it at the same time.

I wish you the best of luck. Thanks!!

THE HARD DISK'S FILE SYSTEM IS CORRUPTED AND WILL BE RESTORED

hold in the power button until you hear 2 beeps. might not work the first time. if no 2 beeps repeat power button again or until 2 beeps. go to restore hard disc and click on it. you will lose anything saved on the hard disc but fixes it 75% of the time. did it myself this morning.

Data Corruption

Just keep clicking "OK". I think it's restoring each of your save files one by one. I've had the same problem recently, but after a while it will just start up again with all your wonderful data restored to its former glory.
