On the wired computer, let's open internet browser like internet explorer:

Accessing the Router's Web-based Setup Page

Step 1:
Open your web browser.

Step 2:
Enter your router's IP address type 192.168.1.1(no www) on the address bar and press the Enter key.

NOTE: The router's default IP address is http://192.168.1.1.

Step 3:
The Enter Network Password window will then appear. Type your router's User name and Password. Click OK afterwards.

NOTE: Your router's default password is "admin" and leave username blank.

Add a password

The router's encryption (password) is configured in the router's wireless settings.
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. I misplaced my cd to connect my other laptop to the wireless router, WRT54G, and I'm trying to get it through your site

If your router is already set up and you want to add a new computer, you don't need to run the set up CD for the router again.
If you want to add a new wireless device ( laptop or any other wireless device) to the network, then you should know all the wireless settings of the router. What wireless settings do you need to know ?
You should know the wireless network name ( SSID ), wireless channel and the wireless security password
( network key ). Once you get all the wireless settings of the router , you will need to connect to the wireless network on the computer. when you try to connect to the network , you will see your wireless network in the list. You just need to select your network and connect to it. If it is secured then you will need to enter the network key and you will be able to go online.
To check the wireless settings of the router , you will need to access the router set up page. On the set up page you will find all the wireless settings of the router.

Connecting a wireless printer

If it is a Linksys router:
Go to 192.168.1.1 in your browser address box.
you will be asked to type in a password in the login box that appears. The linksys router's default password is admin, leave the user name box blank
once the setup page appears, click on the wireless tab, then on the security tab. There you will see your encryption key.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
