To put it in recovery mode power off, then hold power and home key then when the apple logo comes on let go of the power but keep holding home and walla. ther you have it.

Hey guys... the only thing you can do now is to restore your iphone/ipodtouch...
how to restore:
connect your itouch/iphone with usb to your computer and open itunes... probably itunes will not find your itouch/iphone cause its not booted correctly... so
hold down the sleep button and home button for more then 15 sec. first it appears a black screen and after actually you have to hold down both buttons till this logo with the usb and itunes appears and then itunes said its a problem with your itouch/iphone and you have to restore...
thats all - itunes restores your itouch/iphone and finish :D
good luck guys ;)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
