I have a 1st generation ps3, everytime i try to turn it on it starts up but turns off after one second and then the red light blinks.I waited a couple hrs for it to cool down but it still doesnt work. I checked the fan and it works.

Check your console and making sure those fans are not blocked off. If you notice a lot of dust on the console, clean it off right away. find the hard drive on the side of your console and remove it.
