2300dl toner problems

I recently installed, some toners for my 2300dl, they were not new toners, but partially full toners, high capacity, i can't get my unit to "see"the new amounts installed in the unit, for the black toner, or the opc drum. I went into the service menu, i reset factory defaults(mistake) now it shows everything as having 100% life left, and i cant get the black toner to show as high capacity.

i had also installed a partial cyan, because the unit was telling me it needed to be replaced, i put a partial on in that slot, selected the toner size, and it came up as having 58% life, so im not fully understanding here.

Unfortunalely printers and there drivers estimate toner life buy counting the amount of dots draws on the pages. Say a cartridge is rated for 3000000 dots when new, the printer will know after printing 1500000 dots that the cartridge is about half full. If you replace a cartridge the printer will assume it's new as the ID tag will be different from the last cartridge. There really isn't any way of modifying or specifying the age of a cartridge. You will just have to keep using it until you start seeing drop outs on the page, then you will know it is almost empty. Shaking it a few times will usualy help stretch the life of a cartridge.

Ok, maybe your printer writes it's current dot count to the chip in the cartridge. This it would seem as though your printer cannot read the chip in your problematic cartridge. Check the contacts on the cartridge and the matching contacts inside the printer for wear, deformation.

BROTHER DCP7055 PRINTER SHOWS REPLACE TONER EROR

When replacing the toner cartridge, you MUST install a brand new, unused genuine Brother toner cartridge in order to reset the toner status. Swapping toner cartridges from one machine to another or installing a partially used toner cartridge may cause this problem. Brother machines control their image quality for the most suitable print quality by monitoring toner consumption. If you install a partially used toner cartridge, your Brother machine is unable to recognize toner consumption correctly which will cause this problem. Therefore, when you replace the toner cartridge, please use a brand new toner cartridge, not a partially used toner cartridge from another machine.

My magicolor 2300dl printer is showing waster toner box full and won't print but the waste toner box is empty and new. Is there a reset button on the printer to bypass this error?

1. Empty the waste box.

2. Read p66 of http://printer.konicaminolta.com/service/ASP/mc2300/documentation_manuals/mc2300SM.pdf

3. Identify the "Waste Toner Full Detecting Sensor" which tries to pass a light beam through the protruding plastic slot on the waste box that engages with the photocell.

4. Use a dry cloth to clean dust off the photocell transmitter and receiver and also off the protruding plastic slot, so that light will now pass through.

5. Refit the waste box and enjoy the $$ saving.

My prints are coming out very faded. There is a new drum unit installed and all toner cartidges have toner. The black is down to about 22%. What is the problem?

Open the side door and remove the toner bottle. You will then find a small blue item which will slide out. Clean the dust off the central clear area and this should improve print quality.

This does not need to be done. there is a chip/fuse built into the toner that basically tells the printer how many paes that toner has printed in its life time. no adjustment is needed it is all automatic

Minolta 2300DL ghosting

Hi,

I just had the same problem with my 5430DL. It was a bad toner cartridge. The bad cartridge is at 73% full, and had not been a problem until recently. I had been troubleshooting and finally remembered that I had the old cartridge with toner still left. I swapped them out and no more ghosts. Swapped back and the ghosts came back. I have ordered another new toner cartridge and fully expect the problem to be resolved.

Quit Printing & Loud annoying sound

The sound is coming from the new toner cartridges. The roller is sticking and causing the gears to make that noise. I removed the toner cartridge and manually turned the roller until it turned smoothly. (this a little hard but it worked). no more noise!

Toner problems

A couple of suggestions. 1. make sure there is not any plastic shipping tabs that need to be removed from the cartridge. 2. try reseating the cartridge. 3. Try replacing that cyan cartridge. It may be defective. Also make sure you use Minolta brand toners!
