Electric went off and now when service is back on the Auto Time Set displays the wrong time. Even though batteries were in at the time the screen went blank; batteries were new. How do I set the correct time ?
There is no sliding bar on the right rear and I don't want to throw out a brand new clock. PLEASE HELP.

My clock is displaying the time approx 15-20 min ahead of what it actually is. I was wondering if the atomic clock was off?!

This clock is the most user unfriendly clock that I have ever had!! I can't set the time. I thought it was a sefl setting clock. I can't set the alarm. I have only had this clock a few weeks and don't want to through a new clock away and get another one. I layed it on its back, put the three buttons in place and plugged it back in, still flashes. How do you set the time, when you can't even keep it in the right time. RCA modle RP5420B

A very difficult clock radio! Brand new and so frustrated with it that I AM throwing it out! Same problems as the others.... can't set time, can't set alarm and when you set the alarm, it changes the clock to that time as well. Very unhappy with this product!!!

At the top of the clock, there is four positions for the slider. The first is shown as a key, which I assume is the automatic time setting mode. The second is Wake 1, the third is Wake 2 and all the way to the right is a manual time setting mode. If you slide it all the way to the right, you can set the time, then either keep it in that mode or return it back to automatic mode. Either way, you now have the correct time displayed.

This tip worked perfectly - THANKS!
The setting to the left which has the picture of a key, is nothing more than a place to LOCK the slide switch so that you don't accidentally change the clock, the wake-1 time or the wake-2 time.

The set time function may be set by setting all three alarm settings to the current time Then slide the alarm function off and the current time will be displayed on the clock.
My opinion; Thompson Inc. should be banned from selling anything!
Burned twice, smarter now.

Addendum to previous post on Sept 10 by me..
The slide switch in the lower back middle should be all the way to the right before unplugging the power.

Sorry that I missed that. Rattler

Why does my nelsonic nlc690 am/fm alarm clock radio display 18:88 and not allow me to set the time?

Sounds like it is broken!

Unplug it and remove the backup battery if it has one. Count to 10 and put the battery back in and plug back in.

If that doesn't work, just buy another one as they are cheap enough!

I need a manual on how to set the time and alarms on fm/am cd clock radio model # rp 5600a

To set the time, press Set (furthest left button in the line including the Snooze) repeatedly until the clock icon shows on the display. Then press the FWD or REV buttons (on either side of the Snooze button) until you reach the current time. Press and hold to advance the time more rapidly. Press Set to save the time.

To set the alarm, press Set until Wake 1 or Wake 2 is shown on the display. Then follow the same directions as changing the time. Press WK1 or WK2 on the front of the clock to select the type of alarm.

The manual for the RCA RP5600 is available on the product page: http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/audio/clockradios/?sku=RP5600 . See the Support/Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is http://audiovox2.info/docs/common/RP5600/RP5600_OM.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Bob, My auto-set worked fine. I'd suggest setting the time manually (by sliding the top-rear slider all the way to the right and using the '<<rev' and 'fwd>>' buttons) if you are still having problems.
