I have a whirlpool Cabrio washer and it will not drain teh water out it it is on the drain and spin setting and it starts to drain but it trys to fill up with water then shuts off unlocks teh lid the led display has a LD on it and the lights around the mode select dial are flashing

"LD" is a "Long Drain" error code. This is an indicaiton that you either have something lodged in the drainage system causing the drain pump not to drain, or your drain pump has failed. The washer will not complete the cycle until the condition that is causing the error is resolved. The Cabrio has two pumps. One is a recirc pump, the other is a recirc pump.
