HI,

At times, items or pieces of clothing can be stuck in agitator, and will not allow it to move. First turn the machine off and make sure it is unplugged from electrical receptacle.

* Inside the machine, place each hand under the base of the agitator.

* Pull forcefully up and when loosened remove the agitator up and out of the machine.

* If an object is found remove it, and then replace the agitator by re-inserting it, down onto the shaft.

A "shaking and dancing machine."

* Every washing machine has what is referred to as "leveling feet" at the front of the machine. These "feet" can be adjusted to level the washer.

* Move the machine back and forth, to make sure it is resting with all four feet securely on the ground and are in position.

* Now use your level! Place it on the top of the machine and notice where your machine is off level. Leaving the carpenters level in place use the adjustable wrench and turn the leveling feet until the machine stays level in the floor, "is no longer rocking."

Your level should appear centered. Note: make sure you understand your load capacity, it is important not to overload with too many items of clothing.

Try rotateing the piece and at the same time pull the clothing out, try difrent directions. If its stuck in too deep the washer may have to be opened.

My cabrio washer won't unlock lid, dU error, can see a piece of clothing that is stuck through the glass lid, what do I do?

Sounds like the clothing is creating too much pressure on the door and giving you a door lock error. Unplug the wash machine and wait a few minutes, then, while pushing in on the door to overcome the pressure caused by the stuck article of clothing, have someone plug the unit back in. If you've done it right and pushed hard enough, the latch should unlatch.

My washer doesn't drain

1 Look at the drain hose to make sure it isn't kinked or clogged. If there is a piece of clothing lodged in there, clear away the hose from the pump and yank the clothing out.

2 Take a look at the switch under the lid of the washing machine. If it doesn't click when you press it, it may be broken and the washer may stop during the drain cycle. Call a repairman to repair or replace the switch.

3 Examine the clothes tub and the outer tub of the washer for anything that may be stuck in there.

4 Open the main access panel of the washer and take out the large rubber hose connecting the pump to the lower part of the outer tub.

5 Check to see if there is a piece of clothing stuck in there. If so, use a pair of needle-nose pliers to grab the clothing and pull it through the port. If it is difficult to reach, you will need to take out the agitator, the top part of the outer cylinder, and the interior tub to grab it. Unless you have special skills and tools, you may want to call a repairman.

6 Inspect the pump for a clog or frozen pulley. To check if the pulley is broken or frozen, take the pump out and attempt to turn it manually with your hands. If it's stiff or appears frozen, install a new pump.

7 Call a repairman if these steps don't work.

Take off the cap on the agitator and remove the bolt. The agitator should pull off and you can rescue your clothing item.

Cloth stuck under agitator in washing machine.

there is a bolt under the fabric softner dispenser (if you have one) if not, its a plastic cap on the top of your agitator which pops off by hand or a butter knife.. then there is a bolt under there that holds the unit down..grap the bottom of your agitator and loosen the bolt and remove it...then lift up carefully on the whole thing..careful not to loose the seal and bolt to put the agitator back in place....good luck..

Kenmore washing machine washes but does not release the water.

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

Washing machine does not drain- Sanyo Asw33np

Am not sure of whether washing machines spins or not. But would like to help in either way of the problem

If it doesn't spin or pump water

If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it.

Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub. Open washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port. keep a rag nearby to dry up spillage of water when removing the rubber host. Good luck !!
