Restart your computer and tap the F8 key until you get the Windows Advanced Options Screen. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard highlight Enable VGA Mode (Low Resolution Mode for Vista). Press Enter. Then Enter again.
Windows will boot up in a low resolution which will make things look large. Raise your resolution to a normal level in Windows' Display Properties (in the Control Panel)
The next time you restart the computer, it will boot normally.

LG monitor will not turn on.

My guess would be a bad power board. The capacitors will blow on them and cause this issue. If you can solder you can take it apart and replace the caps or buy a new Power supply board for your monitor and replace it. The caps hold power for the monitor and when they go bad they may try to hold a little power until they are incapable of doing it anymore. Best way to find out it to unplug monitor from power and computer and take the back off. A blown capacitor will look like a small round thing sticking up and it will look like its oozing something out of it or the top of it will be rounded and bubbled.

My monitor is black and the power button is flashing blue, ...

If the screen is black or blank, but an error message such as No Signal displays on the screen, the problem might be related to the video signal, also check the power to the monitor, test the video connection between the computer and the monitor to make sure it is connected correctly, and connect the monitor to a different computer.

My monitor will not go back on. There is a green light blinking

Hi ,

In order to isolate whether its the monitor or the compurter tower you can do a self test to check if the monitor is fine .Turn the computer off and then disconnect the cable for the monitor from the back panel of the computer tower. It will be a blue connector with screws on it .Undo the screws and then disconnect it then turn the computer on ,if the monitor is fine you should get a message that would say check input signal or you will have some kind of message on the screen that tells you that the data cable to the monitor is not connected. If u dont get any message that simply means that the monitor has gone bad and needs to be replaced...

hope this helps you .....all the best

the monitor is not getting any video information from your computer .. check the connection at the computer to make sure it is fully plugged in .. make sure the video card (if it has one) is securely in place ... make sure the monitor is actually plugged into the right connector .. you may have a bad video card or a damaged cable to your monitor .. you can plug the monitor into another computer to make sure its ok ..

Mag Innovision LT776s 17 in. Flat Panel LCD

I have the same problem except it usually happens after Ive left my computer idle for a while... i.e . Overnight, I usually turn off the monitor and I hit the button after I come back to turn it on. I get the same flashing light for several minutes. This has been a problem for several months, but only recenly have i gotten the same error message you mentioned. Each time ive booted the computer up cold or restarted it has worked fine but this time it took longer along with displaying the message: Top Left to Right: SH770 P001 Bottom Left to Right: AU M170EN05 Anyone else who can clear this up?
