The service manual can be download it from this website. Make sure to downlaod both parts and unzip them using winrar.
I've check the service manual but does not have the complete power supply circuitry.
The fuse will have a letter "F" follow by a number.

In my opinion the current price of LCDs is so low that you may end up putting more time and money into your 17" than it warrants. Dell has 19" widescreens for $209 and 20" widescreen for $234.

The fuses on these boards are not user serviceable. They are little elements on the circuit board and may be noticed by their scorching. However, when one blows, others cascade and all parts to the circuit board in doubt should be replaced.

If you are under warranty attempt replacement. Otherwise, it is not worth fixing given that you can get a refurbished model for less than the cost in labor to fix yours.

Regards, and sorry to bear the bad news.

The power adapter board may be bad, there may be no user replaceable fuse there, would need a repair / service manual.

How to open gateway FPD 1765 LCD CASE OR BACK COVER

At Last! Okay this is how you open a Gateway FPD 1765 monitor. This Monitor open from the front first to reveal 4 screw under the black trim. Lay the screen face up, NOT FACE Down. So that the GATEWAY LOGO is looking at you. Carefully, lift up the black plastic trim slide a knife or slim tool, or your fingers will do,lifting the trim up a off. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THE POWER BUTTON WIRES, near the power on button. Then remove the 4 screw holding the back cover on. When you remove these screw the monitor is free, but careful there are 2 set of thin short wires that need to be un plug. You should be able to go for there.

ImageQuest ImageQuest L17T 17" LCD Monitor: unit does not power up...

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

How to start disassemble LG flatron W2242TT

Taken from the LG Service Manual for the Flatron 2243/2343:327a726.jpg

The trick is to do this all without cracking any of the small tabs inside. I used this method to remove the case to my Samsung monitor, too, so it may be useful for many different makes and models of monitor. Good luck :D

MONITOR BLICKS AND NOTHING COMES ON THE SCREEN

Grateful how? Neverminding that detail, perhaps your screen's backlight or the power supply for it has failed. There's nothing to do but compare your unit's operation with that in the Service Manual or that of an operating unit; this is complicated by the fact that components might send an OK signal back to the main controller, so removing the bad parts will not necessarily mean the unit behaves normally otherwise. It may be as simple as rinsing the cat barf out with water and D.I. water (but you would still have to open the thing up on towels to find out.)

Of course the main power supply might also be faltering. you can probe the supply (with a DVM or scope) to see how steady that is.

If you can open the cover of your monitor try to locate the fuse maybe the fuse is busted replace it.
if the fuse is blown or busted again there is short circuit in your power supply maybe the diode or the power transistor is shorted you need this to bring to the shop for services
