Can you solve Danby DDR6588EE problem?

I realize this is a different model but hoped you could help. Unpacked and started up new unit yesterday afternoon. Unit would run (very noisily) for 5 minutes or so and shut down. As we observed the unit for a while we discovered the compressor would run but the fan never did. Since this is the holiday and long weekend, maybe you are not available. But any light you can shed will be appreciated. We bought this online from Air Purifiers America after checking out reports on both the unit and the company. We really hope not to have to ship it back. Of course, can't contact anyone until Monday. Thank you so much.
