Two options: If you normally transfer your pictures by connecting your camera to your computer, remove the memory stick from the camera before making the connection.
Alternatively, if you use a card reader to transfer the pictures directly from the memory stick, use the "Copy" command in the "Memory Stick Tool" submenu to copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory stick. The Memory Stick Tool and the Copy command are described in the "Memory Stick Tool" section of the manual (beginning on page 53 in my copy). If you need a manual, you may download a copy from here.
Just connect your memory stick to your computer and then browse into the files on the memory stick and copy them to your computer and then you can delete the photos from the memory stick.
Hi, Transfer all pictures in memory card to computer, disconnect camera form computer, press Menu/ Home and go to memory stick option, select Format to delete all pictures at once and will refresh memory card. You can delete pictures one by one through Delete button on camera.
Regarding supplied software with camera (picbridge or picture motion browser) please click Cancel when it prompts up when camera get connected with computer and click My Computer, click any new hard drive letter that might show as mass storage or similar word (this is memory card storage) and click its folders to copy/ cut the pictures and paste these files in computer. Hope this info will help you. Thanks.
Connect camera with computer with USB cord, power up camera, computer will recognize it and if you installed Sony image mixer software that will prompted, close it, click My Computer, click removable Disk, click folder to open it, now you can copy pictures from computer and paste here but be careful about picture file name should be DSCxxxxx some thing, if you have already changed file names then camera will not show these picture in playback mode though pictures would be on memory stick.
you must have copied them wrong or they were a format that your computer doesnt even recognise.Format the memory stick (delete everything) the try again. make sure you format it not just delete the files on there
After reading the manual, it seems if you delete any pictures directly from your computer with your memory stick loaded into the computer, then you corrupt the memory stick. I usually use a USB cord, but not this time. So with that said. I need to buy a new memory stick. I will only delete pics directly from the camera from now on. It is not a camera issue, more of a "not knowing" issue.
Yeah, all you have to do is delete all the pictures on the card. It's easiest to do on your computer, not the camera. Just put the memory stick back into your computer and find all the pictures and select and delete them. If you've already transfered them to your computer then don't worry about it. If you delete the photos off the stick, they will NOT be deleted from your computer so just go ahead and do it.
Hi, Please try this, turn on your camera, insert a blank memory stick, slide the side switch down to the lowest point, should say “No file in this folder” click on menu, click on Setup, use the arrows and go to Memory Stick, choose “Copy” choose “Album” the “OK” this will copy all you pictures from the Album in your camera to your memory stick.
Hi,
when you connect your camera to the PC.
look in My computer and find the drive ( camera ) probably shows as Drive F:/ G:/ H:/ I:/ or similar.
Right click and open, then copy to folder on desktop, named My-Pictures ( Or similar ) once you,ve copied your photos from memory card to desktop on PC. Format the memory-card. which will erase all data. ( Right Click Format )
