There is small button that is usually in the battery compartment that you can press with a paper clip to soft reset the phone.

However, a soft reset will not fix your ActiveSync problem.

Here's what to do:

Open ActiveSync and go into the settings/options.
Delete any partnerships you see.

Now verify the following settings with your Exchange Administrator to make sure you have them right:
Server name: (a.k.a. your public server name)
Use SSL: Yes or No
User name:
Password:
Domain: (a.k.a. your private Windows Domain)

Now verify that your Exchange Admin has enabled ActiveSync for your account.

If the settings are correct and ActiveSync is enabled, you should now be able to set up working ActiveSync partnership.

Good luck!

I need a pc suite for htc

My Dear:
That is not a problem at all.
Just download Active sync from the microsoft website and install it in your computer. That is enough for you to connect your phone to your PC.

You can use this link to download Active sync
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7269173a-28bf-4cac-a682-58d3233efb4c&displaylang=en

If this does not work search for old versions of activesync from the following link
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

thanks

you need active sync

A handy altrnative which wont sync but lets you access the phone as a hard drive (most useful if at a mates house for example) is wm5storage which you install on the phone but you will need active sync or a card reader to install can be found here or here

Htc s710 using as a modem on my laptop

On the HTC S710. Connect phone to PC with USB cable close active sync and on the phone go to start>internet sharing. Celect USB and GPRS. Press connect and open your browzer on PC. In your device manager in XP you will see it as a network device.
