Question about HTC S710 Smartphone
My HTC S710 won't connect to my microsoft exchange server so I can't active sync. Will a soft reset resolve the issue and how do I sft reset?
There is small button that is usually in the battery compartment that you can press with a paper clip to soft reset the phone.
However, a soft reset will not fix your ActiveSync problem.
Here's what to do:
Open ActiveSync and go into the settings/options.
Delete any partnerships you see.
Now verify the following settings with your Exchange Administrator to make sure you have them right:
Server name: (a.k.a. your public server name)
Use SSL: Yes or No
Domain: (a.k.a. your private Windows Domain)
Now verify that your Exchange Admin has enabled ActiveSync for your account.
If the settings are correct and ActiveSync is enabled, you should now be able to set up working ActiveSync partnership.
