Konica/minolta ep4000 toner not even across page; has partial voids down page. cleaned everything. did half-test and image is bad at drum. what needs to be done next and in what order thank you Bob

You have plenty things to check sorry to say. What is the condition of drum and starter? What about the charge assembly? Is the grid still in good condition?

Replace the developer and drum make sure counters are cleared for the drum and developer. because machine works off the counters if the counters are clear it assume new drum and developer are installed and set voltage to the drum and developer based on it, if in fact he drum is not new or developer then image problems and code can appear

My photocopy machine minolta ep4000 its up and bottom side of the page are coming black


When was the last time you had a Konica Minolta Tech come out and give it a cleaning and replace parts such as developer, Drum, corona wire xfer and sep wires, cleaning blade. Botton fuser roller mite need to be replaced. Konika Minolta Copier prints half dark pages


If it is only causing an image problem when you copy and not when you print, then there is something wrong with the optics under the glass. Check and see if you have any mirrors out of place or if the scanner looks crooked. If you have the machine set up to scan try and scan to SMB or email to see if it still has the problem. If everything looks correct under the glass and scans to SMB and email look bad like the copies, you may have a bad CCD assembly, or a bad board.

Yellow deposit


Remove the Yellow Drum unit, Check the drum for any toner. The drums should be clean and I believe a Green color. If you see any toner on the yellow unit replace the unit. Some models have a charge cleaner built into the image units, if that is the case with yours you will see a light blue knob on the front of the unit. Pull this knob in and out about 5 times to clean the units charger this may correct the problem without replacing the yellow image unit.

Large Toner Streak... Bad Imaging Unit?


Check to see if you waste toner recycling for the cyan is working or being blocked. Check the transfer bias roller next to the cyan drum. Return you cyan imaging unit for a warranty replacement. Check for obstructions to the cyan developing unit. Check that the cyan IU was put into the machine properly. Check for toner leaking from the entrance to the developing unit or from the toner cartridge.

My 2300W prints a second image


Yes, it sounds like a fuser problem, as the oil and coating wear off of the fuser rollers they transfer to the page as you describe. The only way to tell is to stop the machine in a print cycle before the fuser to determine if the problem is before or after the fuser.

I developed a color print that has all 4 principal pure toner colors in vertical and horizontal bars that are at least 2" wide.  If perhaps you are having a toner problem only one of the colors will be affected.  If all colors are affected there are two possible issues.  The drum, which I think is actually a belt, and the other the fuser assembly.
The fuser is a heater and pressure roller system that presses and melts toner onto a page.   The drum is an imaging device that picks up toner where images should be and transfers toner onto a piece of paper.  Any toner not transfered from the drum / belt is destined for a waste toner hopper.  If the belt is not being cleaned properly or has an image or flaw artifact that cannot be cleaned / erased you always get that printed on a page.
