Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

International directory enquiries number (118313)had been dialed acording to my 3G phone bill from my phone over an hour long period. Quite amazing considering I turn the phone off whilst it is in my handbag,3G insist that the phone is not faulty and are expecting me to pay the bill. When I first contacted 3G the operator said that my phone may be faulty and that they had this problem with other customers. Is this a common problem or not.

I very recently just had the same thing happen to me. I did manage to get this charge credited back to me, and to insure it wouldn't happen again I had a call restriction placed on my phone. But needless to say, I thought the whole thing very suspicious and have found through the wonders of the Web that this same problem with 3g and the 118 313 number doesn't end nor start with us. I will be terminating my contract with them asap and I advise everyone else to do the same!

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I need to ring a number I think it’s international

Hello Antoinette Farmer,

Try to think of the HOUR of the country you
are calling...

Straight off of the INTERNET

IDD (international Direct Dialing)... for EXAMPLE:

An internationaldiallingcode (or prefix) is used to make an international phone call out of a country. These codes are also referred to as international access codes, internationaldirectdialling (IDD) codes and exit codes. In Australia the IDD code is 0011 for voice calls, in the U.S. it is 011 and in the UK it is 00.

Looking in the front of your PHONE BOOK works well ...

or try Wikipedia... Quite useful (I donate there):
List of country calling codes

Hope this help

Please tell me how to contact a real person

Check the number you are dialling with directory enquiries to ensure it is correct. Recipient could be out of service area, in which case, try later.

Which app is a cheap international calling app?

Earlier, the international call was a very expensive task, but thanks to the different applications that has reduced the bill of international calling and made the system cheaper and easier. There are various calling apps like WhatsApp, WeChat, Skype, Rebtel, Reliance Express Dial and much more. They also provide the feature of sharing photos, video, texts, audio messages and much more.

With Reliance Express Dial, there is no need to dial access numbers and pins. Also, you can make calls in a single touch with speed dial. All these apps are cheap and internet based, and they don't need any extra charges for connection. These apps are reliable and have good voice quality. You can use any of them for international calling.

I'm dialing to Gambia Africa with the right code and number why does it say every time I try to call I have wrong code I've called there this number to my husband many times before

Most cell phones have an international dialing lock to save from very expensive billing rates. Please contact your provider to see if they will remove the restriction for your phone.

Why is there a plus sign before certain phone numbers?

The + sign indicates the international codes. Thus instead of 0091... being international code for India and 001... for the US and Canada, +91 and +1 are on the mobile. If my number is 9878472630 then the std code is 09878472630 and ISD is 00919878472630 on landline phones and +919878472630 on mobiles. Please feel free to ask more if not understood.

Can my htc droid eris from verizon work on reliance india cdma connection

If you go here: you can see that Verizon does have roaming agreements with CDMA providers throughout most of India, so I think your phone will work just fine.

Before you go, you need to dial *611 from your phone and have them activate International Roaming on your account. The rates are available on the link above, and they are quite expensive, so be aware of that before you go.

You should probably also disable Data Roaming on your phone before you go to avoid a massive bill, international data is extremely expensive.

For some reason the 411 number now appears in the directory on the front of the phone screen. If I am not careful and do not shut the phone off completely when a call is ended, I will have a problem. I...

I have the same stupid problem. I haven't found a way to remove the 411 button but I have discovered that you can at least modify that button to another number and not have a ****-dial to 411 and incurring $2 / call (for me). Just use your stylus and tap and hold on the 411 button until a pop up mention comes up. You can then select the "edit speed dial" item. From here, just change the 411 to another number. not ideal as removing the button all together but at least it'll stop having the errant 411 calls which can rack up a bill.
