Re: tv stopped working
Good Day, pjljr2000;
Sounds like you have a dead set. First try rebooting TV by unplugging for 5-6 minutes, make a/c outlet has power.
There are too many things on your model that could be the problem. If what I suggested didn't help and if you are not electronically inclined then I would recommend that you contact a factory authorized dealer to service the TV.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

If the model here listed is correct it may be the actual power switch--it like all the front controls is a tiny micro switch--only supposed to work when pressed but can and does fail in this way--
How to prove/disprove this?
Someone needs to remove the front keyboard and unsolder that 2 pin switch---remote will with the board back still turn set on.
If it works that way either just use the remote or search for the keyboard and replace if can find one.
Only other issue possible is the microprocessor in the set could be bad and we do not want that-----both the front buttons on set and the remote go to the same place inside the set but the keyboard has priority over the remote.
If power button bad, button on the remote will not stop or correct this.
microswitches on the frontcontrol board leaking.replace it. http://www.fixya.com/support/t2422987-same_problem What worked for me was this: Supposedly, the front panel is known to have leaky switches. power,volume,menu,etc.. They asked me to take my finger and rub left to right back and forth hitting all the buttons, do this about 20 times.. then poke the reset button in and out a few times.. Wait about 60 to 90 seconds and see if your green light quits flashing.. If so, try powering on with your remote. http://www.hdtvoice.com/voice/archive/index.php/t-18816.html
I have a Mitsubishi WD-52725 TV, too, and have experienced the same problems with it. My solution to the remote not responding is to push the reset button on the front of the TV (to the left of the Power button) with a paper clip and wait for the green light to stop blinking (about 1 minute). Then, turn it back on and try the remote again.
Recently, my remote stopped responding when pushing certain buttons on it. I removed the batteries, and all of the little screws including the one inside the battery compartment and gently cleaned the contacts inside the remote and the circuit board with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. After putting it back together, it works fine now.
