Question about Televison & Video

VRVD640G went haywire

All of a sudden my GPS/DVD system would automatically go to radio at full volume to a set station. We were watching a movie at the time. When we tried to restart the DVD, it would wait around 10-15 seconds and again, go back to the same radio station at full volume. We tried going to the Navigation function and the same thing would happen. We turned it off for some time, turned it back on and the same thing happened. We turned it off for a longer period of time and when we tried again, it worked. Has anyone come across this problem?

Yes, I have that and many problems on others.
I've installed over 18 on families and friends' cars.
Most problems are the fan in the back on the radio comes on at all times.
Called the factory and got no help.
Clock is too small to see.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Set AVL [Automatic Volume Leveler] function with DVD player; set to 'ON'. Refer its user manual to get more details about this adjustment. The procedure will be different for model to model.

Hr836t how do i watch different channel to one recording

This unit has only one tuner, meaning you can only watch or record one thing at a time. Depending on your TV and how your equipment is installed, you may be able to split your antenna/ cable line and record on your DVD and use your TV tuner to watch another program.

The sound goes on and of when watching a movie

see the cause and fix it: God bless you
  1. Check if the TV and Amplifier (if connected) is turned on and set correctly.
  2. Check if the TV, DVD player and Amplifier are connected properly.
  3. Make sure the TV, DVD player and Amplifier volume are not set to Mute.
  4. There will be no sound output during Reverse Play / Pause / Step / Slow / Search.
  5. If the DTS soundtrack is enabled in the DVD Disc Menu, but you are using Stereo Analog audio, the sound will not work. Try switching the soundtrack to Dolby 5.1 or PCM mode in the Disc Menu.

The audio and video are not in sync

Are the movies you're watching store purchased DVDs? Sometimes with downloaded movies, the audio and video are just out of sync.

If they're store bought, it's possible that you've got a delay set in your receiver. Consult your receiver's operating manual to see if there's a "delay" option.

It's also possible that you're hearing that delay in the TV speakers.

If you've got the audio coming through the receiver AND the tv, you'll hear a slight delay when the audio's traveling from the DVD player to the television itself. This could happen "sometimes", if the tv volume is on, and not happen when the tv volume is off.

-bad disc reports

The problem with using rental discs is that they are dirty. Buy a dvd player cleaning disc and follow the instructions. These discs help to realign the laser. If this does not help try cleaning the disc with a disc cleaner. Also depending on how new the dvd is there have been a lot of discs manufactured outside of the US that have been bad. It may not be your machine but the discs. I personally went through 6 of the same movie before i gave up and rented something else that worked perfectly fine. Hope this helps you watch.

Scrambly TV

take a quick peek in the manual and find out where to disable the progressive scan features. may be a button on the back, or you may have to go through the on screen menu to find it. take the disc out and see if you can view what's on screen. or since you said you had a couple of movies that did work properly, put one of those in, start the movie, go into the dvd player setup menu and disable the progressive scan settings
