If you examine the front of your cd/dvd drive, you'll see a small hole. Push a thin wire into that hole and the drive will open.cleaning the inside of the drive when it is open will also help.take care.

Use a straightened paper clip or similar thin wire piece of metal and push it in to the little hole on the front of the drive. The door will open.
A thorough cleaning of all parts while the drive is open would probably help, but if it is a laptop drive be careful not to get the electronics wet.
Hope this helps.
