Line in / Mic jack help

So we're talking PC here, right?

I don't understand what you want to record. Going from the PC Headphone jack to the PC Line IN might be unwise in order to prevent a feedback loop. External (non-PC) source and PC MIC might work but you would probably want to monitor it on headphones again because of possibe feedback.

Does your MIC work?

Right click the speaker icon again and select Adjust Audio Properties or open Control Panel and select Sounds & Audio Devices. Select the box to place the icon on the Taskbar for future use.

Right click on the little speaker icon in your Taskbar and select Open Volume Control, if it's there. From there you're on your own. I have a sound card so I don't know what you will see. Look around, there may be a bunch of audio outputs and inputs with Master and individual volume & balance controls plus one for your Mic. Make sure it's not muted.

The marine cb radio turns on but you can't here noboby talking nor can u talk out from the cb

Sound like either an antenna problem, or a mic problem.

The mic on most cb's also serve as transmit/receive switching. A broken wire or bad switch in the mic or cord can cause either or both to fail.

If you have a bad antenna (or cable), you should still hear squelch noise on receive (maybe lower in volume) and be able key the mic and get a transmit light on the unit. Visually inspect the connector, cable and antenna. If need be use an swr meter to prove the antenna system is bad.

Hope that helped...

apply a lubricant contact cleaner in the sockets(the place which you put your plugs)and insert plugs in and out many times-
right click in speaker icon and open volume control and check there is no mute mark in all faders-and faders in up position.

Tape loop

You may need to purchase a cheap external mixer with both mic and line inputs, and use that to mix the mic with the DVD audio. In most receivers, you can only select one input at a time. The output of the mixer can then be plugged into any spare receiver input, such as AUX, CD, DVD, etc. When not using Karaoke, you can simply turn the mic input down to prevent it from interfering with the DVD signal, but will still need to have the mixer on to hear DVD's.

I have a gpx karaoke party machine and the cd won't even spin to play and the mic won't work

If the the unit powers on at all then assume its defective. If its still within the stores return policy return it. If not you will have to go through the manufacturer for the warranty if its still unexpired.
