Get in touch with your supplier and see if there is anything that he can probably do and make sure next time you are purchasing you are given a guarantee if you are not covered by insurance.
talk to your supplier on the website you shopped from and may be call and see if they can help you with something gininuine

They can become a lot more pliable once their charges are recovered... So go immediately to Discover Card...

and no matter how inviting or convenient...

TELEPHONE them... using the number posted on the back of the CARD... YOUR card... in your hand.

Relate your tale of woe... and they will advise you.

If it was an AMAZON purchase prepare to be delighted and amazed... If it was an eBay purchase AND you have AN ADEQUATE REASON you MIGHT not have to pay RETURN POSTAGE...

As for the real world be prepared to cover both return shipping and restocking fees...

Purchased an item on eBay on June 1 and it is not the right thing. How do I return it.


You need to go to your 'Myebay' page . Go to the purchase history screen where you should see your purchase listed.
Towards the right of the screen you will see some text in blue, you you need to search through the list of possible actions one of which will be to return an item.
It is fairly straightforward.
You will then have to state why you wish to return the item and will have to identify it.

How do I cancel a kindle e book


Returning Kindle Books Books you purchase from the Kindle Store are eligible for return and refund if we receive your request within 14 days of the date of purchase. Once a refund is issued, you will no longer have access to the book.
To request a refund and return, visit the Manage Your Content and Devices page. Click the Actions tab for the title you'd like to return, and select "Return for refund".

Amazon has sent you a confirmation of purchase with deatls and always states RETURN policy. First contact them about the problem and take steps they suggest.

Hi,

It would be better, if you return or you purchase a new one.

stuffs like this are not usually repaired. Once damaged or malfunctions, another one is gotten.
