Did they replace the fan, or did they replace the computer?

> they told me to contact HP for further repairs.

Did you do so? If so, how did HP respond?

The purchase of the computer includes a one-year warranty,
i.e., HP will fix anything that fails, within one-year of purchase,
at *THEIR* cost.

As soon as i turn my computer on I don't hear a beep anymore. I don't have any monitor display and it won't boot up at all What could be the problem and the solution

There are 2 posibilities:

1. Your power supply has failed, you will need to purchase a new one, but you do ensure you get a reciet of purchase and ask if you can return it if it is not the right one. This way if it boots then great its your power supply, if you still have the problem then its not the power supply and you can take it back to the shop and get your refund.

2. Its *********** board, you should be able to asertain this by using the method above.

Hope this helps.

When I start my emachine T3306 gets a black screen with just the cursor? I do not have a system recovery disk. What do I do?

you need to get a operating system boot disk such as ultimate bood disk ( google) or you can go to your local computer store and purchase one of there products that have recovery disks. Your problem is either virus or hard drive failure or maybe system driver is hanging your system. The recovery cd will help you boot into your system and get some more info. You can also call your computer maker and purchase your install media kit which will contain your operaing system and drivers and once run will return your system to it's factory state when you purchased it. Your computer make will charge a fee for these disks, all computer manufacturers charge differently

I purchased a JustCom 4 port high speed USB 2.0 hub. The box included a certificate for a free DC Adapter. I sent the certificate and requested remittance off to California. I received the envelope back...

Return the Hub. Internet Service Providers like Comcast charge $5 per computer connected to a HUB. There is NO charge for computers connected to a ROUTER. Make sure you purchase a ROUTER (get one on Ebay cheapest.)

USB cord

USB cords should be boxed with the router. Typically you get either USB, ethernet or both. If neither was in the box I would return it for another or purchase any USB or Ethernet cord.

I ordered a router for the computer so that I can hook up a second computer. I want to return all the things plus the router. Where do I send it back to? Do I have to pay?

You would have to return it to the people you ordered it from. Go to their website and they will have a return policy. Most of the time you have to pay for the shipping back to them and they will refund the purchase price.

Need to install my new dvd writer on my dell dimension 9200 pc. The plugs are different. now what?

If the plugs are different most likely you bought a SATA drive. If your MB doesnt support SATA then there really isnt any use for that drive, i would return it and purchase an IDE drive, chances are thats what you have. Good Luck!!!
