Question about Samsung Projection Televisions
Double check the model number---there is a 61swx10b---All of these sets use two STK-392-110 convergence chips.
Check my recent posts and you will find similar ones related to your TV. Both chips need to be replaced and you can buy them on Ebay for less than 20 dollars for a pair including shipping. Depending on how they fail there may also be a damaged resistor located near them.
If you cannot do this repair shop around your area as most shops will try to charge 300-400 for this repair.
Make sure whoever you get replaces both chips or you will shortly have the same problem again.
I have done hundreds of these sets and here charge 200-250 for this kind of repair. If a shop tells you it has "to go to the shop" keep looking as any good tech can do this repair right in your home in about 1 hour.
I hope this information has been helpful and if you have ANY questions or need advice contact me.
